A valuable life lesson from pickled eggs and elderflower syrup
It took me a long time to get to it and make pickled eggs and then, a few weeks later, some elderflower syrup. That’s when I learned that I didn’t need time to make them, I needed time to find out making them takes no time at all. Does that make sense?

Our backyard took a couple of evolutionary leaps
Over the years, our backyard has gone from being a child’s playground to a next-level outdoor gym that everyone can enjoy. Oh, and we have bunnies.

I broke some plateaus with this 30-day kettlebell program
From November 15 to December 15 of last year, I did something I never thought I would be able to do: a 30-day workout program using nothing but my kettlebell (and my jumprope, of course…). And I noticed some real progress.

More than bodyweight
While I do love a good bodyweight from Darebee, I also firmly believe that diversifying your routine(s), will get you a more well-rounded, functional physique. After all, it’s been said that “man does not live by bread alone” (Mattthew 4:4, obviously referring to (hu)-man).

A different whey to get your protein supplements
The harder you train - especially as you age - the harder it is to recover so you can keep going the next day.
